My take on this is that Boston is just the name of the sponsor: 'Frigo Boston' (refridgerators Boston). I did some extensive googling on this, couldn't find anything relevant. If the frames were just labelled with the sponsor's name, who build them? At the time there were many small and bigger framebuilders in Belgium. Boston-Mavic was a small team, only Van Impe and maybe Willy Teirlinck were well-known riders. So the frames could have been locally build, maybe because the team couldn't get a big name in cycling to supply the bikes.

The mystery continues; are there no Belgian list members?

Great pics Aldo, and it does indeed say Boston on the tubes. Now the question is, is that our own Bill Boston? And if so, would that be the first appearance of an American frame marked as such in the TdF? Or would that distinction belong to the "Huffys" of 7-11?
