Pentagla was the Zunow term for their five sided tubes running between the bottom bracket and the rear axle. A marketing gimmick pure and simple. They also used a "Ditchex" top tube with a crease along the top edge to enclose half of the rear brake cable. Total stupidity which weakened the top tube without providing any advantage save a cosmetic one. FWIW I'll be putting up the world's most garish Zunow (59 cm) for auction on eBay in a few days - pentagla, ditchex and wishbone seatstay, etc. - the worlds most insane bike. Handles nicely however. You just wouldn't want to be seen on one.
