However the english freewheel seems to rock ever so slightly on the hub, and I always thought that a french freewheel wouldn't even start on an english hub. On the other hand, the rocking with the english freewheel could be just bearing play (I didn't tighten it all the way down, as I don't have a rim laced to the hub and don't want to get the freewheel stuck). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tom, I wonder if the Zeus hub had an Italian thread freewheel screwed onto it at some point? Or are they NOS? Could just be tolerances between what Zeus thought English thread was and the freewheel manufacturer's specs. Also the rocking you describe isn't that unusual if only a few threads were engaged. I'd screw the freewheel all the way on. (gently) It will come off no problem unless you really torque it down.
