Without disparate views and intellectual challenge, the study and its progress towards its goal (at best an asymptotic endeavor) would shrivel on the vine."

I love this list. What is it about classic bicyles that attracts such a thoughtful crowd? Where else could a discussion on something as simple as metal fatigue transform into a series of of treatises on the nature of science?

I enjoy it when engineering and philosophy cross paths (but I still feel pretty confident about the usefullness of fatigue charts for ferrous materials!) Thanks everybody!
