eBay #7174239368

"A RARE VINTAGE FUJI CITY BIKE or BICYCLE --- appears to be a Japan copy of the ENGLISH RALEIGH DL1 TOURIST --- estimated age is 1940s-1950s vintage --- 52 cm. (22.5") frame size center-to-top of top tube --- 29 5/8" stand-over (floor to top of top tube) --- overall fair condition --- bike sold as-is.

This interesting bike utilizes ROD BRAKES, with the front being the more typically encountered "Caliper/Pad" style, and the rear a "Drum, or Band Brake". It is a single-speed freewheel, with 26 x 1 3/8" wheels/tires. Note the nice 100% leather sprung saddle, rear carrier, and rear bike-stand.

It appears to be in 100% original condition, with the exception of the seat clamp (replaced by me due to wear). Parts of the frame have some black over-spray, but it was done a long time ago! The front fender is missing its front extension. Each fender strut has an upper plate that is marked, "NEW MODEL-SPECIAL CYCLE" (see 26th photo). The tires hold air, but they must be replaced prior to riding due to age deterioration.

This bike is very heavy, weighing 50 POUNDS"

Not mine,
