Hi all,

I finally uploaded some pictures of the ca 1961 Birmingham made Cyclo Benelux Super 60 rear derailleur; Pretty isn't it? IMHO it beats the Gran Sport on looks with its smooth, deep chrome, aluminium name-plate and pins held in place by circlips. Held side by side with a GS it exudes precision.

Note that the nylon jockey wheels are not original; the derailleur cage has been cut and widened to accomodate these later-era wheels sometime in its life.

The Derailleur screws in to the stamped Benelux hanger, which is kinked outwards to make room for the locknut threaded onto the inside.

It really is a pity that this derailleur did not survive beyond 1961. It demonstrates what the English could do when they concentrated on producing a high-end bit of kit.
