Subject: [CR]Current and former shop owners - Help with Mercier model ID

I haven't gotten any responses to the inquiry below about the model designation of my wife's mid-70's Mercier, now complete except for the bar tape. So I'll let the cat out of the bag. Last year there were ZERO French bikes entered at Larz. So I'm plotting to win the Best French prize this year simply by being the only one to enter a French bike. But it seems a bit akward to enter a bike without being able to state the model. So how about it? Surely some of the shop owners on the list sold Mercier "in the day". Can you tell me what model my wife has? Of course, now I've tipped my hand, several guys will descend on Larz with their Herses and Singers to snatch away the prize. C'est la vie.

I may bring this to Larz, and need to identify the model designation and approximate date. I'm guessing it is mid-late 70's due to the pre-TI Reynolds Tube Co. 3 Tubes 531 DB decal. Mercier pink of course, with white Mercier decals and a Fait Main (Handmade) hand decal above the shift levers. Long point lugs with cutouts, lined in gold. I assume the fork and stays are Super Vitus, since the DO's are stamped "Super Vitus". I never even knew there were such things as Super Vitus DO's. No brazeons except the RD cable stop and the little bump under the downtube to keep the shifter clamp from slipping down the tube. Mercier-engraved semi-sloping fork crown. The usual 70's Mercier foil headtube decal. No chrome at all.

Because of the 3 Tubes tubeset, this was obviously a couple of step below the top of the line. Can anyone tell me the model designation and confirm or refute my guess as to the date?
