Subject: [CR]Refinishing a Geoffrey Butler

I picked up a Geoffery Butler bicycle a few weeks ago, and posted here at the time.

I have been able to source a full set of original transfers from GB Cycles in the UK.

I therefore made the decision to have the bike stripped and painted as a prelude to a full restoration.

I have got the frame and fork fully stripped now, polished with coarse and fine wire wheels and finished to 120 grit emery cloth.

I am going to drop the frame and fork off at the paint shop but was just wondering whether it would be period appropriate, or more closely, brand appropriate to go with a separate colour head tube panel, rather than silver all across the frame?

If the contrasting colour head tube panel would be appropriate, can I please have colour suggestions to go with the Silver body of the bike.

Thanks in advance,
