This would be hard to imagine over a weekend. The LEL Randonnee is 1400 kilometers; a touring event but longer than the Paris Brest Paris at 1200 km (750 miles), The PBP is run nonstop and the top people finish in the mid to late 40 hour plus range. Add 125 miles that that time and you are beyond most weekends time wise.
Maybe it was over one of those long weekends I read about.
