Guys, Mike sent me an e-mail that I think was intended for the CR List but was only sent to me. It's the old and uber annoying thing about this group that unless you remember to click "Reply All" your reply to a CR posting goes to the poster not the group. I hate that.

Anyway, I won't post his reply here without his permission. But suffice to say he stated he joined the Ilkeston operation after the brief "yellow head tube" period so he "stands corrected".

I had a couple of folks e-mail me privately reminding me who Mike was (former Ilkeston manager) which I was well aware of and who was I to dare challenge his memories! Hey, if someone asked me to remember everything my company did four months before I joined let alone yesterday, I'd be hardpressed!

Mike's postings have been invaluable and if we all occasionally "get it wrong", big deal. My post was merely to point out examples of SB serial numbered frames with this paint style. Not to prove someone "wrong".
