Peter and all,

Super nice bike! The best example of an early Colnago I've ever seen.

I think it's actually a 1973 Colnago. Reasons, it has the first year "reverse printed" wreath decal on seat tube (1973 only) and has crown with clover on top but no holes drilled in the side (1973 only), the '72 Colnago has the clover on top (the first year) AND the holes on the sides. The '73 bikes hace only the club on top. Also that version pantagraph parts normally appears on '74 Colnagos. A real '72 will have the Eddy Merckx drilled holes type chainring. Joe Bell has a '73 exactly like this except it's electric blue.

I say it's a '73 frame fitted with '74 parts, probably one of the first with those parts for the show.

Absolutely killer bike!

Brian Baylis La Mesa, ca Have lots of early Colnagos and sort of know what is what now.

Since this is NOS, I have to ask the list, would you ride this thing?

I'd have a *really* hard time deciding that one.
