Dale and All,

I have a 1977 Peugeot catalog which indicates the PX-10 was equipped with Mafac Competition brakes (as was the PY-10, but PY-10's had gold anodized calipers and levers and the levers were drilled). I also have a 1979 Mafac catalog, and the Model 2000 brakes are listed (just after the Competitions). They differed from the Competitions in having different center stirrups, which allowed different reach, they also had wheel guides and were available in the 'Gold' anodized finish.

My 1974 Peugeot catalog lists the PX-10 with Mafac Racers, and I know the PX-10 I bought new in 1971 had Racers.

Hope some of this narrows down the year a bit??
