Subject: [CR]Solvents and Cleaners

I believe we've flogged this topic in the past, but it's a very relevant one for most of us. Nobody has chimed in on these products yet, so I thought I plug them. LPS makes a broad range of products (cleaners, degreasers, lubricants, penetrates, rust inhibitors, etc.), probably a dozen or more degreasers alone, depending on the requirement. I have been using LPS products, particularly their degreasers, for many years. Their degreasers remain my favorites, and there are several, depending on how aggressive you need them to be. I have been using LPS Precision Clean and Contact Cleaner (for light duty cleaning/degreasing - painted/more delicate surfaces), and Super Degreaser and it's varieties (for more serious stuff), and haven't really found anything better. Many products were developed for the electronics industry, where I first started using them some 30(?) years ago. I also still use their LPS1/2/3 lubricants extensively as well. LPS products can be a bit pricy, but I think you get what you pay for. LPS has a good web site that provides great details of the their various offerings. With a little trial-and-error, you can dial-in the products you need for specific tasks. I probably have at least six or eight different LPS products in the shop at all times.

I guess that's my two cents. Check 'em out for yourselves:
