You know Mike, some vintage book sellers might be able to do an online appraisal for you. Try http://www.abebooks.com/ Do a search for your book. It might be out there with a price tag on it all ready.

Craig Montgomery in Tucson who paid out $124 for a 1938 Robert Graves' "Belisarius" (Hey, it's only 1/3 of an ASC)
