Cool bike but just wondering - when did SLX tubing first come on the scene? I've never seen that SLX decal on an early 70's frame? The fork crown is similar to others I've seen from the 80's. Thanks,

I had to revise the description after doing some research prompted by Steven

Whitmore's question about the authenticity of the bike. I thought it was early 80s due to some of the components that came with it, but according to Chuck Schmidt's story about De Rosa in the CR site, it was actually from 1974. Take a look and let me know if you have anything further to say about this bike.

Yes this is the same bike I had mentioned in CR some months ago, but I had not put it all together yet nor found out so much about it. Note the picture of a picture signed by Moser in my yahoo album mentioned in the ebay listing.
