Hello Everyone,

I have a perhaps slightly OT timeline-wise Eisentraut Rainbow production model (Dale don't shoot me, and if you must, shoot at a body part I won't miss if it goes...Ok, I know, I know) anyway:

the thing needs a bottom bracket, all that's missing now as I am putting on a old Super Record gruppo onto its body. Does anybody have a suggestion for it? From what I see online,

"The Campagnolo 111 mm Record bottom bracket will not work with older, Campagnolo, Nuovo and Super Record cranks. They require a 115 mm spindle with 5 mm of offset on the chain ring side. We suggest using a Phil Wood bottom bracket for Nuovo and Super Record applications."

Hmm. OK. But I am still suffering from the price of a recent PW BB installation, although I would be happy to do this. I will not mention the suffering that I am suffering from recently having bought a very off topic 10 speed chain. Anyway:

Advice? Comments? Links? Dale, do you have something for this fish?

All the best of the best thoughts of mine,

Ricky Garni Carrboro, NC

The Phil BB is cheaper than NOS Nuovo Record. I have the Phil for $109 in 113, 116, and 119 (for the triples), NR in 114.5 for $129. Greg Parker Dexter, Michigan http://www.bicycleclassics.com
