Subject: [CR]New England Swap report

I'll keep this brief. Several years ago when Jim started this swap I was there. You could find 4 or 5 road bikes among the sea of muscle bikes but a lot has changed in the last few years. Now you have about 40% of the bikes as road bikes and CR members where everywhere. The rain was a pain and sort of dampened the swap but it was still a large gathering of sellers and buyers when it opened. A lot of bikes changed hands and parts where there at prices that you do not often see for Campy and Zeus items. I have to admit I did my share of exchanging funds for goods. Saw a Holdsworth that needed work traded for a pretty clean but standard Raleigh road bike. Saw a neat Raleigh Clubman but it was not for sale. All and all a good meet till around 11 when the skies opened up seriously and scattered the bunch. If I were still into the muscle and balloon stuff there were also some killer deals there. Sure wish the weather cooperated so I could have jawed a bit more with fellow members but will see you all soon at T-town.
