I'm a pre Watergate Baby Boomer so perhaps less cynical than most around here. But if I were a "scammer" or indeed a con artist of any pretension , why pray tell would I pick something as utterly obscure as a Flying Scot bicycle frame as my "hook"? Indeed, at a starting bid of $10?? I sus pect if it's only the headbadge ("bowl and spoon not included" as the cereal packets have to warn) it's worth $10. Lots of folks, especially in the U K, are new to eBay and its complexities and even more don't have access to digital cameras. I am inclined to believe the seller falls into the latt er category. Then again, I wired off that Western Union money order to the Hon. Dr. Elliot Proudful and now own 100,000 shares of National Oil Co . of Nigeria stock. I could sell these in six months and buy a warehouse of Flying Scots. So there.

By the way, can anyone here in a succinct paragraph tell me what makes the

Flying Scot so coveted other than its wonderful name, sexy headbadge and Scottish manufacture? Best model? Peak year? Mojo quotient?
