marc, You're really not supposed to use folding tires on these rims. There are wire bead tires in 700C and 27" that work pretty well on the concave rims. Continental Sport 1000 is a good choice, comes in a variety of sizes. IRC Triathlon is also pretty good. I've found when mounting that I sometimes need to partially inflate the tire just enough to give it shape and then make sure tire bead is centered on rim all the way around so tire spins true without hops. This also helps prevent tube from sneaking by tire bead and going - BOOM! ; ) Also beware of rim strip. Wrong strip will lead to flats due to edge of tape rubbing against tube.
