I am wondering if any of our UK members know who is building new Condor U.K. steel bikes. If you go to the Condor website, they freely admit that their current range of aluminum and carbon frames are built in Italy, but they go one to say that they still offer lugged steel Superb and No.1 frames and that these are no longer built on-site, but at a different location. I can't imagine that the demand for lugged steel Condor frames is great enough to employ a full-time builder, but I could be wrong. Is Monty Young's son, Grant, still involved in the day-to-day business? Is Grant building steel frames? Or have they now subcontracted the steel frame production out to another builder? Can anyone shed some light on this?
