There is a 56cm Masi on the local auction site at present with some interesting features. My apologies for the quality of the photos- most have come from a digital phone camera.

Although decalled as a Gran Criterium, the frame has flat seatstay caps, and a rivetted headbadge, that suggest to me that it may be a modified and repainted Special. Cranks are 151pcd Record, rear derailler is undated.
What d y'all think? Is it a Special, or another of those mythical transitional Gran Criteriums? Is this anyone's Holy Grail?
