Mike is right, Andy con do much to help alleviate knee problems. But don't despair if you can't get to Boulder. His book "Andy Pruitt's Medical Guide for Cyclists" is a wealth of info and helps pinpoint problems by location ("if it hurts here, then the problem is....").
