Hi Nige, He probably means Wilson's of Birmingham they were at 216 Aston Road. They were very popular frames and they sponsored an Independent trade team. Their frames were used in all the top races including the Tour of Britain. Better known for their clothing in particular the Wilson Trouser-Plusses, these converted from trousers to plusses by way of a fastener in the turn-ups, they also supplied Copdale track suits which I think were only available from them, The Viking, Wilson, Ovaltines and England team had these as standard issue another interesting thing they did was "The Leech" quick release saddle bag attachment. Funny this really takes me back you asking about Wilsons, on the Ephgrave ride a few of us in the bunch were chatting about their clothing and how fashionable it was back then. Think their trade teams bikes were yellow and black but my memory is not all that nowadays. Might have posted something on the CR list before about them team members specs etc.

Thats all for now. Keep those wheels spinning, in your memories if not still on the road. Be lucky Mick Butler Huntingdon UK.
