Hello Peter..
As far as Gillott were concerned, the double-box lining followed the lines/splay of the tapered tubes..well they do on my Gillott..but there again it has been resprayed at some time by C&G of Liverpool. However such was the quality of this company's work that I think it is reasonable to assume that they would "get it right"
