Subject: [CR]Rust Veins and stovepipe enamel

My 1975 Bob Jackson developed rust veins on the fork crown 10 years ago and
the rust has broken the surface at the corner of the crown top recently. Is there a rust passivator I can apply to arrest this? If I get no better a dvice I will apply WD-40 in hopes it will seep in and slow the developement . Eventually maybe I will need to have the crown repainted. The bike looks new otherwise after 30 years. Brian in Berkeley
