Listmembers:

Back on September 16th, we discussed John Barous who trades as Bajajohn on ebay. Since I have found John to be honest in previous business dealings, I took the liberty of emailing John to let him know that his business reputation was being questioned by members of the CR and that there was a need for him to respond accordingly. He did and his story was not a happy one but at least ends with a silver lining. John forwarded some photos of his new daughter and he looks like a proud and happy Dad. I may decide to post them on my wool jersey site. John asked that I forward his email to the listmembers at large and to that end:

Mike Schmidt Stirling, NJ

Hello Mike from BajaJohn in Florida-- Sorry for the delay,How is everything ? Thanks for writing and giving me the heads up.I am happy that you are enjoying your Nisi Sludi Rims -- They are rare indeed.well Mike things here have changed radically for me I have had a major tragedy and miracle at the same time...I am not sure you remember Lucia- Lucia -- was my wife and helped me with ALL eBay transactions She probably sent you some correspondence and for sure packed and sent your order.. She was fascinated by sending items all over the world and liked the packing as if they were Christmas gifts,She was pregnant with our first child early this year and visiting her mother in Brasil her mother was having a minor back operation and Lucia was about 6 months pregnant the doctors noticed some swelling in her hands and feet and wanted her to stay for observations remember Lucia was a petite woman so this was of concern ---four days later Lucia had a cerebral hemorrhage and died instantly -Our baby was born about two hours later and survived she was just over a kilo when born or 2 pounds== (a good race frame weight these days) Helena-Lucia is her name and she needed to stay in the neonatal units in Sao Paulo for almost three months - It took me 5 trips to Brasil to secure all the documents and medical treatment for her passage back here to the States... Today Helena is doing GREAT !!! these days and she is usually with me everyday at the shop or wherever.as I am her ONLY caretaker 7/24.Finally most of this ordeal is now over and Helena has done grand in her follow -up medical visits. The bicycle business here in Florida is OK -- but I have been away for most of the last five months.I have not really been able to focus on the retail or eBay aspect of it much this year for these reasons. Mike -- do feel free to forward any of this info to interested parties on eBay or CR
