hello folks. i purchased a bicycle the other day at a bicycle
swap meet outside of philly and i am having a bit of trouble
trying to identify the frame.
the frame is a steel condor frame, model unknown. i can see
some worn condor decals and the reynolds 531 sticker is still
visible. it is spaced 130 but i dont know the history ofthis
frame so perhaps it was cold set at some point?? also, the lug
work doesnt seem to be as fancy as other hurlow frames that i
have seen photos of.
i was told, after buying it that it was possibly a frame made
by hurlow when he was the master builder at condor. i've been
trying to figure out how i can definitively identify this as
such.
the serial printed on the bottom of the bb shell says 1956
with a smaller, perpendicular 5 stamped between the 5 and 6. i
was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about this frame.
thanks a lot.
