Subject: [CR]Setting 6 speed chainline

I'm building up a Gios Super Record with standard 126mm 6 speed spacing, using an Omas sealed bearing BB that has adjustable cups on both sides. On 5 speed bikes I've always tried to get the small front ring to line up with the center rear cog. What's the protocol for 6speed? Right now I have the small front ring lined up with the 4th rear cog. Which gives a good looking chainline for all combos, except the lowest (small front-big rear) which looks pretty cock-eyed. Is this normal? I have no other 6 speed bikes to compare to. Plus I do not think I can move the axel much more inboard. Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jon Williams
