Subject: [CR]Motobecane year identicication?

Hi, I haven't posted here in about a year or more. But was hoping someone here may be able to shed some light on this bike? I have been trying to determine the year of my Motobecane Grand Jubile', I bought it as an incomplete bike, missing it's derailleurs and crankset. A quick rundown of it's components are: Campagnolo rear dropouts, chrome tipped fork with stamped dropouts, silver with red trim paint sceme, Stronglight bottom bracket, Weinmann Concave rims, Normandy hi flange hubs, Atom Freewheel, and the headbadge is the same as the orange Team Champion on the Motobecane page at CR. It's also still got what looks to be it's original Michelin Elan tires, Ideal leather saddle, unbranded stem that looks like an SR, and the bars say made in France. I have pretty much concluded that it did have Huret derailleurs, since it has all Huret cable clamps and guides, the brakes are Weinmann Vanqueur, and the crankset was either an SL 49D or an SL 93. The headbadge and rear dropouts are what has me stumped, all others that I have seen have Huret dropouts front and rear, no chrome forks, and the a brass headbadge either like the black Grand Record here on CR or the round one that is pictured as a 70's - 80's headbadge on the same page. The Normandy hubs have matching date codes that look like November of 1973. I was told that it was a '74, but the dropouts are not consitant with the other bikes I've seen, one of which is supposed to be original, and still in the hands of it's original owner.

Regards,
Joe
