Subject: [CR]A flat on todays ride - rim strip question -PX10E with clinchers - right name?

Out on a nice ride today, and got a sudden flat. I realize now that the tires on the PX10E were not in good shape. This is the model they sold with clinchers in 73 or 74 (does anyone remember the exact name of that) and has mavic 27inch rims. I think they have a red label that says super champion, but I forget exactly.

The rims inside are very narrow where the rim strip sits, and I noticed that it is not in good shape after all these years. It is a rubber one, less than a half inch wide.

What is the recommended rim strip for this, and a good source for them. I usually use the velox cloth strips, but I suspect they are too wide to sit well.

Any advice is welcome, Thanks Dan Kasha Seattle, Wa
