For sale: Ciocc San Cristobal frame and fork for the taller gent (or taller woman): 61.5 C-T seattube, 59 C-C toptube, $200 plus shipping. This is a relatively early San Cristobal in sound structural condition but with some cosmetic challenges. Frame is Columbus SL (blue Columbus decal in evidence but largely worn away), full chrome fork, 3/4 chrome rear. Campy drops (porta catena holes), Campy super record headset and cut-out braze-on type SR shifters included. No braze-on for front derailleur, one set of bottle cage braze-ons, also braze-on rear brake cable guides and rear derailleur cable guide (beneath chainstay). Ciocc graphics are "plain C" rather than later "flying C" dating the frame to 1979-82. From my observation, Ciocc's this early rarely turn up on eBay. Distinctive narrow lugs with teardrop points, club-cutout in lower headlug and BB, "ciocc" on seatstay caps, Ciocc card suit logo engraved into top of (sloping) fork crown. Decal on right side of toptube reads "Mod. San Cristobal." Small decal on seattube referencing Ciocc success at San Cristobal and Nurburgring Worlds ('77 and '78). Decals are in overall decent shape, but paint is unevenly very faded and has numerous chips and scrapes. No frame damage. Original color appears to be a metallic watermelon red-orange. Chrome is very good overall, especially rear triangle; forks have some deterioration to chrome on outside of left fork blade and inside of both blades, but forks are still very presentable - none of these "issues" are evident from six feet away. Plenty of good pics upon request. Pics are detailed and take up a lot of memory, so will take time to download. Might be helpful to specify whether zip file OK or individual photos preferred. Again, price is $200 plus shipping. Paypal preferred but not required. Not a Galmozzi, but will make a very pretty bike with a repaint or a nice daily rider with some touch-up work.

Thanks for reading (or deleting).
