Bill, You have to look at it like this: as was the case with those $1200 Mavic rims, there just weren't that many of these things made. In fact, I would guess that TA pedals much more rare thanthose rims because, after all, TA has always been a small company (and something of a "boutique company" at that.) They might have sold a reasonable number of cranksets but I doubt they ever sold very many pedals. I mean, I probably have held a couple of hundred bicycles with TA cranksets - maybe even more. But I have never (and I mean NEVER) seen TA pedals except in photographs. I know you can get modern TA pedals and perhaps there are a reasonable number of _old_ TA pedals like these floating around in France, with another couple of pairs each in London, Boston and California. But where else? Definitely not Japan. And, it seems, that if you have to have them, you _really_ have to have them. :-D To each his own... Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia (USA)
