FT Bologna, Cobra, and OMAS are examples of Bologna based second tier manufacturers of lightweight bicycle components.
Most of the lightweight components manufactured were screw machine parts of aluminum or titanium. The Bologna industrial area has long had many specialty subcontractors producing parts for the aircraft, automotive, motorcycle, and bicycle industries.
