The 3rd annual DC area Autumnal Vintage bike ride is tomorrow, Saturday 29 October.
Per Peter Kohler's suggestion, the theme is British lightweights.
If you do not want to do British, most anything with 1, 2, or 3 wheels made out of steel will be acceptable....
I have scouted out a circa 30 mile route from here (Kensington, MD) out
to the west that (while not flat) is certainly quite doable on a fixed. (I rode it last week on my 47/18 fixed gear without difficulty.) Non-riders, spouses, etc welcome, of course. (My spousal unit will not be riding)
We will assemble circa 10 am with an aim to begin riding at about 10:30. Food, beverages served afterwards.
Please let me know if you plan to attend so I can be sure to have sufficient food, etc available. At a minimum, we will serve Pizza, homemade Chili, Brats, and Beer and soda. Food and/or beverage donations most welcome.
I will send directions when you let me know you plan to attend. But we are located just off the beltway north of DC, the Connecticut Avennue exit off I-495 (aka the Beltway).
