I would like to suggest that this frame is not a mixte. It seems to be a standard ladies frame design. A mixte as I learned it was a "semi" ladies frame where the upper tube of the two downtubes was comprised of two smaller diameter "twin" top tubes as it were, that went from the head down to the rear dropouts. It was a bike that had more structural integrity and more designed possibly for heavier Randonneur use, sort of a city lady's-men's bike or for outright touring. The listed bike is more flexible because of it's design. Maybe not so much if super heavy tubes, but the lower top tube was an easier step through for shopping, commuting, etc. so was of slower gentler use. Some touring or city bikes had curved upper twin down tubes and were referred to as "Belgian" style. So let's please describe the listed bike as a ladies frame style. When the frame has a twin bar upper down tube setup, I think it can then be named a mixte frame. Ted Ernst Palos Verdes Estates, CA
