Doug Van Cleve seeks some wheels. Doug, your note is very good about brands &c, but misses two things that would help all of us trying to check our stores:

?? 120mm (5-speed) or 126 (6-speed) OLN (over locknut, equiv. to dropout spacing)??

?? Do you, your brakes, or your frame, care if the wheels are 27" or 700c?

Changing axles, spacers, and dishing is feasible, but it is really maddening to try mounting a great set of 27" wheels, only to find that your preferred tires scrape the fender or fork, or that the brakes can't be adjusted high enough. And vice versa: going from 27" to 700c and finding that your favorite rear brake wants to grab a big chunk of tire instead of rim...

Howdy folks.
I am looking for a nice set of clincher wheels for a 1975 bike. I want clinchers unless I just can't find any, and based on your feedback any of these rims would be appropriate: Weinmann Concave, Mavic mod. E and mod. E2 , Rigida 13-19, Super Champion Gentleman, Ambrosio 19 Extra, Fiamme Red Label or Yellow Label. I would prefer high flange but low would work too. Please let me know what you've got.
If I can't find clincher wheels (or tubulars that are a bargain), I would also be interested in just hubs. In either case I need the flat lever skewers...
   Thanks :^)
