As a London schoolboy in the late 1950's and early 60's a much visited shop by us was Ross Cycles of Balham. They were importers and stockists for all the continental top makes. The French ones I can remember: Raphael Geminiani, Rapha-Gitane, Heylett, Urago, Andre Bertin, Nancia, Roger Lapebie, Mercier, JPR (Jean Pierre Routen). The one that really sticks in my mind was the Heylett Darrigade Champion du Monde. Of the Belgium makes I can recall Rik Van Looy, Dossche-Sport, Plume Vainqueur, Devos-Sport and Peugeot Van Steenbergen. The Italian range was Fiorelli, Cinelli, Grandini and Frejus. Window shopping for us kids was wonderful back then.

Thats all for now. Keep those wheels spinning, in your memories if not still on the road. Be lucky Mick Butler Huntingdon UK.
