My best deal sounds kind of lame compared to some others I've read, but I'm tired of lurking...

A few years ago, I was looking for a 126 rear wheel for my old Benotto (a Mexican one; pretty, but nothing to get excited about). I found a seller who had the wheel, but wanted me to buy the whole bike for maybe, $125, post-paid. When it arrived, it was an old Trek, all 531DB, Nuovo Record except for the brakes (Supurbe Pros). My size, too.

The Benotto's been hanging on a hook ever since, and the old Trek gets the miles.

Next Topic...

Several years ago, I bought a track bike from a buddy for fixed gear training. It had bogus decals on the down tube (Rocky Mountain) but the seatstay caps and head tube say RINO. It's a real track bike with undrilled bridge and the closest, tightest fork crown I've ever seen. There's a Columbus decal that's been destroyed by a frame-fit pump.

I checked the archives for the Rino thread and found that they made some pretty good frames for their racers and some less exciting stuff. Any idea which category mine would fall into? Any idea of its age? (Did I fall into the dread off-topic realm?)
