You can get threaded inserts for them from Bike Tools Etc. (http://www.biketoolsetc.com/) and a couple similar places. You have to drill out the damaged threads, retap, and install the threaded insert. The best known make is Helicoil, but there are others.

Not for the faint of heart, of course, but if the threads are really badly damaged, and can't be fixed by a simple retapping, it's the only option.
