One of the pleasures of owning more than one bike is that you can afford to have one up on blocks for a while and still have a bike to ride. Sometimes I want the bike to be done, but can't find the time and I'm too much of a perfectionist (PICKY) to let any one else touch my bike. I even look at other CR people's bike's and think how it should be instead of the way it sometimes is. When I was in a shop I had a reputation for being fast at my work, but when its mine I work with an almost zen methodical, patient pace, making sure its exactly the way I want it so I don't have to do it again for a good while. I've even been pressing a local bike shop guy about rebuilding an off topic ergo shifter because I refuse to let any one else do it even though he's willing to show me how the first time so I'll KNOW.

I'll get to completing that bike sometime, but you can't let a sunny day or a good time to ride slip by if you can help it.

Happy trails,

Dan Artley in what has been really pleasant Parkton Maryland (and Veteran's Day is another chance to ride!)
