I recently acquired a cache of 1950's UK "Cycling" magazines, in the racing results of Sept. 13th 1956 it was noted that Mr. Mike Dawson beat Mr Tommy Simpson in the E. Yorks "25". Mr. Dawson belonged to Hull Thursday R. C. and Mr Simpson belonged to Scala Wheelers. Which brings me to my request for information; Is there anyone out there who knows the racing career of Mr. Dawson? Was this his fifteen minutes of fame? Were there other racing successes?
