I met him (Peter Egan) at Road & Track's big Fifty birthday bash held a few years ago for everyone who ever contributed to the mag (I designed their current and previous logotype/masthead and sold them some photos years ago... blush). A few years ago Peter wrote a great story in R&T about how he and his buddy rode bikes across Europe to attend the Monaco GP after he graduated high school in the mid sixties.
