Subject: [CR]Decal reproduction

Lynn,
Coincidentally, I was thinking about reproducing LeJeune decals. I'm assuming that yours (like mine) are actually vinyl stickers. This would be the case for the frame tubes. On my track bike, the LeJeune insignia is a decal but on my tanden the LeJeune insignia is a self adhesive "sticker".
So I'm definitely interested, although I'm not certain if the style you prefer is the same one with which I'm familiar. My track bike has lettering like the Jerry Moos's road bike on the CR Web site. (Except that the head tube insignia is different.) My tandem has similar lettering, except that that theletters are black in color. On the tandem, the head badge is a chrome foil item that Monsieur LeJeune gave me (on a visit to the factory) because the original had worn off. (Sadly, I don't rememberwhatthe original looked like.)
Strangely, the only time I've actually seen the "Champ du Monde" style LeJeune decals was on an antique bicycle at the factory's showroom cum museum. (This was in 1983.) Anyway, they had taken a 1940s era road racing bike - clearly not a LeJeune - and had afixed that style of LeJeune decal tothe frame.
Anyway, at the very least, I'd be interested in head tube decals. As for the company itself, it is out of business, although who knows who has rights tothe name at this point. But Monsieur Marcel LeJeune is, according to Mel Pinto, alive and well in Paris and residing in a beautiful apartment not far from the Champs-Élysées. (That's pretty close to the way in which Mel expressed himself last Spring.)
