Four frame captures from the 1928 Felix the Cat cartoon "Astronomeous", a Jacques Kopfstein presentation of a Pat Sullivan cartoon by Bijou Films Inc. This cartoon features a brief sequence in which Felix shoots an arrow into space. It lands on the planet Saturn, whose rings are being used as a track by bicycle racers. The arrow punctures one riders rear tire... he stops, pulls on the rope attached to the arrow, and Felix gets a lift to Saturn, where the cyclists beats the living blazes outta him!

In these four frames we see:

1. Cyclists racing around the rings of Saturn. 2. Close-up of one of the racers. 3. The moment of puncture. 4. The dismayed racer.

Frame grabs are from the DVD "11 Cartoons Starring Felix The Cat" which I found in Target today. I've had a VHS copy of this cartoon for some time now, but this is the first time I've seen it on DVD. I bought three extra copies, so if you'd like one but can't find it, the price is $1 plus postage. First come, first served, so send me your name and address (off-list, of course).

Other Felix movies on DVD include:
