Nowhere near the Brooklyn Bridge did I do what probably no other CRer would have dared.

I took this beautiful 'Fanini' racing frame onto which the late Lorenzo Fanini had brazed, as he was used to in those years, brake axels to the fork and to the rear bridge. I cut out the stumps, redrilled for new axels and further drilled, with the help of an 'angle drill', the housing for the recessed nut on the inner side of the bridge. Nobody I had talked to would have taken the risk.

Beautiful result, even praised bu Lorenzo's son, my friend Michele Fanini, who runs the shop and the business these days, who sentenced his 'Placet!'.

Cheers
