Subject: [CR]RE: - Raleigh Grand Prix ... T.D.C. Freewheel remover

Steve, T.D.C. Freewheels used a special three point remover, the tool slides over the axle and into the freewheel slots. The last one I bought was from Bicycle Research, CT-5. By the pic shown on their new site it appears that they have changed the tool slightly, the original tool had only two flats in which to use a wrench on. The original tools, prior to the BRT version tended to be a bit weak, these always seamed to be the one's to strip out. I haven't used my BRT version enough to see if it's any stronger, but it has to be an improvement over the original T.D.C. supplied tool. I don't recall seeing a Var tool for this application, but there may well have been one at one time. BRT tools have always proven to be of good quality, and may well be the only one still making the T.D.C. tool now. Neither Park, Var, or Pedro's show this tool in their current catalogs. You can find BRT tools online at: http://www.biketoolsetc.com/index.cgi?id=934094099083&c=Tools&sc=Fr eehubs%20and%20Freewheels Part number BR-CT5 $6.95
