excuse me cuz i know this is a tired subject at this pt but i have to tell one short tale yrs ago while i was still heavily influenced by my racer coworkers and still rather new to the roadie thing one winter day the typical sunday ride which actually had a wide variance in riders/bikes/tires/perspectives the ride home ended with 3 of us one good ole pal, tom small, thin racer type racy bicycle with skinny tires the other another good friend larger man than many who ride classic ole frame that had rm after he switched from 27" to 700c for fatass tires cold blustery and it had began to snow lightly as we made r was up one of the many wide blvds of kc we got caught by a light and enuf traffic we figured we outta stop i was behind the guys and as we took off i began to notice the "footprint" of their tires on the road in the light dusting they were identical tom(short n skinny as a rail) on his 23c at high pressure bill(tall wide powerful) on his 38c lower pressure same exact width of footprint in the snow thats all peace sarahgibsonkansascity(whose tires get wider every yr but whos arse hasnt......yet....)
