I am always looking for more info on those guys. I have asked some questions from some who claim to have been involved with importing the bikes in the 1970s/80's, but they don't ever respond.

I would love to put more in the history of Gitane USA...but sadly, I don't have the information.

By the way, I recently bought a NOS...still in the box...Gitane bike shop lighted sign that had the old address stamps from Gitane on them: Pacific Imports: Hawthorne.

The TDF was even better, but way out of my price range. One thing about that website, since it is about Gitanes in the USA, is w hat about Mel Pinto? Were there other importers of Gitanes into the USA? Foil stickers all the way! Steven Johnson, Shiloh, IL
