I have an Ofmega crank that has some dulling and pitting. I used a bit of Simichrome to test for an anodized finish. The rag was black after only a few moments of rubbing. Now I can't tell if the aluminum on my rag was from the minor pitted areas or was from the crank in general. So I am back to square one-- I don't know if my Ofmega crank is anodized or not.
