I just brought home a bike with an Ideale saddle. the bike is from '73-'76
and seems 100% original and the saddle shows a great deal of age. I and
another person have read the model number (No easy task...very difficult to
see) and it seems to us to say "89". Now I have never heard of a model 89
although there is an 88 and a 90. It is fairly likely we are misreading it
and it is really "39". It has "Ideale" stamped into each rivet on the top
of the saddle and I can't recall that the 39s I have seen have this. Am I
just not remembering right? Has anyone heard of a model 89?
Hopefully by tomorrow I'll have some decent pics, but I have just been
swamped all day.
